Day 2 – 10/04/2016
After a restful night and a delicious breakfast buffet, our Yoder students were eager to embark on an exhilarating adventure to the Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan. The air was electric and echoed with the excitement of toddlers, students, families, and people from all walks of life who travelled to Osaka in celebration of the theme park’s 15th anniversary. Inside the park, the cobbled streets were intricately garnished with decorations that mirrored the joyful Halloween festivities. Throngs of people, carefully adorned in meticulously designed costumes, complete with extravagant accessories and alluring makeup, flamboyantly paraded the crowded park. It was truly a wonderful treat for the Yoder students to experience such a unique Halloween venue! In commemoration of the anniversary, Universal Studios Japan debuted “Jurassic Park: the Flying Dinosaur,” the world’s longest Bolliger & Mabillard Roller Coaster. While a few of our more adventurous Yoderlings were brave enough to experience this thrilling ride, it is definitely not for the faint of heart. Other popular attractions in the park include the Amazing Spiderman, Space Fantasy, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Hollywood Dream, and Jurassic Park. While our Yoder Students enjoyed a pleasantly entertaining day at the Universal Studios theme park, they returned to the hotel a little fatigued. However, after a warm bath and a good night’s sleep, they will feel invigorated and ready for another full day of adventure.
